The goal

Ziply is an American company that provide Couriers & Messenger Services. They requested a complete redesign of their previous website and the development of a mobile app according to its features.

Challenges

The biggest challenge we have met during this project was that we had no ability for creating the new design for the website from the scratch. Our goal was different:not to destroy the old UX but to update it with adding new features. After the website was finally created and approved by the client, we had one more task left to perform – to design a mobile application according to the website`s functionality.

Solution

We have started with analyzing the old client’s website as well as the websites of their nearest competitors in this market niche. Our team consisted of an Art Director, Executive UI/UX Designer, and Project Manager. Together, we provided many fresh solutions for the client. As all details were clear, we started working on the project.

Wireframes

We used the old website`s structure as wireframes according to the client’s request. That was not a new experience for our team. Fortunately, we were able to skip this stage of this project.

Design

Our designers decided to create a website in minimalist and flat style with a lot of new functions in UX design. Also, UI has been totally rebuilt, and the color scheme has been updated.

We used new fonts that are more easy to read. In addition, we created custom icons and illustrations for the project. Such custom graphics always bring uniqueness to any website, no matter web or mobile. The client requested separate tablet layouts in addition to our standard assets – desktop and responsive versions.

Development

The client did not request for development to be performed. Well, okay. A usual thing for us.

Conclusion

To conclude, the website got the new interface, user-friendly flow, and fresh look. We built modern and beautiful mobile app that follows the website’s functionality, and that is why it was not difficult to integrate it with the backend.
We are convinced that the new Ziply website will attract much more new customers, becoming a serious, competitive player on the Couriers & Messenger Services market.
